In 1983 he graduated from the University of Transport and Communications in Žilina. He worked as a chief accountant at the French firm Lafarge Speciání Stavební Materiály s.r.o., later as the Finance Manager of Lafarge Colbet a.s. he gained valuable experience also as Finance & HR leader for the Japanese company FANUC FA CZ s.r.o., operating in the field of CNC software.

He works as office manager at the law firm ŽIŽKA & PARTNERS and also works at the firm Lancera Consulting as chief accountant.
